Hot! Hot! Hot! A truely hot Chilli pepper that is great for growing from seed at home. The Chilli plant will produce uniform shaped fruits with a hot, tart & smokey flavour.
Key Information:
Use good quality compost suitable for containers, water regularly & feed with a liquid tomato fertiliser
Vigorous sturdy stems
Advice & Tips:
Level fill a module seed tray, firming with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds individually & cover with a 1cm layer of fine compost. Place in a propagator at 22-27°C; or cover tray with cling film & leave in a warm room. Keep moist.
When shoots appear, remove the cling film. Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When plants have 4-6 leaves transplant to 9cm pots of potting compost. Grow on in a minimum temperature of 15°C. Pinch the growing tip to encourage bushy growth.
Plant into the greenhouse border 45cm apart, grow bags or 30cm diameter containers once roots are beginning to come through the bottom of the 9cm pot. Stems may require some support.
