Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

16th April 2021 - FAQ

Is the Garden Centre open?
Yes, we are open with normal opening hours. Government regulations class Garden Centres as essential retail providing essential goods & services.

What COVID19 measures do we have in place?
We have social distancing measures for the safety of our customers & staff including: a one-way system, wider aisles, hand sanitiser stations, barriers & perspex screens.

Are there any restrictions in operation?
Government national restrictions mean you must only visit the Garden Centre with members of your own household.

We ask that no more than 4 people from a single household enter at once, this includes children of any age.
As part of our safe distancing measures we are not allowing dogs in the Garden Centre currently, only Guide & Assistance dogs are permitted to enter.

Do I need to wear a face covering when visiting the Garden Centre?
Government advice from 24th July is that face coverings / masks must be worn in shops. Face coverings must not be removed whilst shopping around the Garden Centre. Refusal to wear a face covering whilst shopping may result denial of entry. We understand this may be a regulation that some people will not like but we must comply with the law and all do our bit to help control the spread. Please be respectful to our staff if you are asked to wear a mask, or asked why you might not be wearing one - they are only doing their job.

Is the Oasis Restaurant open?
The Oasis Restaurant is open from 12th April for outdoor dining only.

The Waterside Diner is also open for takeaway food & drink.
Download the Waterside Diner takeaway menu.

Are toilet facilities available?

Are dogs still welcome in the Garden Centre?

Waterside Garden Centre & Adam Frost Event raises £4000 for Charity

10th January 2020

Adam Frost is an award-winning gardening celebrity who is passionate about all things gardening and Waterside were honoured to have Adam join us for an evening to talk to us about his gardening passion and journey back in October 2019.

The money raised from the event was to be donated to Don't Lose Hope charity, who offer therapeutic and emotional support to members of our community and is staffed by volunteers and trained professionals. The event was extremely popular after we sold out of our VIP tickets within just 24 hours of them officially going on sale.

"We do everything we can to give back to our beloved community and it’s a privilege to be able to spotlight such an important charity.

"But none of this would have been possible without Adam very generously offering his time.” Said Matt, Planteria Manager.

The night was held in our Oasis Restaurant where Adam, wife Selina and 50 other VIPs enjoyed a delicious 3 course meal prepared by our fantastic restaurant team. There was also a raffle that every ticket holder was entered into for FREE, prizes were donated by some of our generous suppliers. Offering the chance to win a range of high-ticket items. Shoppers were also able to shop late with 10% off the entire store!

“We’re honoured to be hosting this event, to raise awareness for such a wonderful charity and as part of our ongoing mission, give back to the local gardening community.

"We try to offer an inspiring space for recreation to encourage gardeners to share their knowledge, skills and ideas with the community,” said Emma, Oasis Restaurant Supervisor.

Since the event - a cheque for £4000.00 was presented to Nicola from Don’t Lose Hope on the 10th January 2020.
