These mixed baby leaf seeds offer a fantastic blend of flavour that is ideal for summer salads. Harvest regularly with scissors when leaves are 5-8cm cutting off plants just above ground level. Wash in cold water, dry in a clean tea towel and place in a sealed bag in the fridge where they will keep for up to a week. This baby lettuce seed can be used a baby leaf or cut and come again lettuce.

Advice & Tips:
Level fill a module tray with seed compost firming with the base of another tray. Water well with a fine rose. Sow seeds 4-5 per cell over the surface covering seeds with 1cm compost. Place in a propagator at 10-15°C or cover tray with cling film and leave in a warm room. Keep moist.
When shoots appear, remove cling film. Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. Grow on in a minimum temperature of 10°C.
When seedling are approx 5cm tall and rootball holds firm, plant out in rows 30cm leaving 5cm between each module.
Sow seeds thinly in a shallow pre-watered row. Lightly cover them with a little soil. Allow 30cm between rows. Keep moist until seedlings are established. Small sowing made every three weeks ensures continuous supply.
Thin to 2xm apart. Thinnings are delicious in salads.
