The white-skinned bulb of the Flavor garlic variety contains pale pink cloves; as a softneck garlic, this garlic has a milder flavour than a hardneck variety, but the cloves are easier to peel and will store for a long time after harvesting.
Garlic can be grown either in the ground or in containers, making it perfect for any level of 'grow your own' gardener regardless of your garden size.
Key Information:
Plant in Spring for a Summer harvest
This garlic variety prefers to grow in fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny position
Advice & Tips:
To ensure all of the plant's energy goes towards growing a large bulb, remove flower stems as they begin to grow.
Each garlic bulb should be divided into individual cloves before planting. Space each clove 10cm apart, with its tip 3cm below the soil level. Once the leaves start to die down, lift the garlic out of the soil and leave to ripen on the surface.
