JBA Seed Potatoes - Caledonian Pearl - First Early
Producing large yields and with a delicious flavour, Caledonian Pearl is a new potato variety which is becoming popular thanks to its versatility in the kitchen. Perfect as a salad potato due to its waxy flesh, this variety can also be used for boiling, baking and even chipping.
Caledonian Pearl seed potatoes are easy to grow and perfect for beginner gardeners; this variety is great for those with smaller outdoor spaces as it can be grown in bags. If planted out in March, these first early potatoes will be ready to harvest by June.

Advice & Tips:
Soon after purchasing, empty the seed potatoes into a shallow box, such as an egg box, and store them in a cool area protected from frost.
Two weeks before planting out, move the seed potatoes to a light area so that they can produce a strong, thick sprout - make sure they are rose eye upwards. When exposed to light, the potatoes will turn green - this is normal.
When planted into the ground, each potato should be approximately 25cm from the next, with rows spaced approximately 60cm apart. The potatoes should be approximately 15cm into the ground.
