Roma VF - A traditional favourite, this Mediterranean plum tomato is ideal for use in cooking & sauces. Plants show good disease resistance and yield tasty plum tomatoes with thick flesh & few seeds.

Key Information:

  • Can be grown in a greenhouse or outdoors
  • Best grown in fertile soil or grow bags
  • For indeterminate types provide support

Advice & Tips:

  • Sow indoors, thinly in pots of seed compost
  • Keep at approx. 15-20°C & keep moist
  • Seedlings usually appear within 7-14 days
  • Transplant to individual pots when seedlings reach 15cm tall
  • For greenhouse crops: transplant to growing bags or large pots in the greenhouse in April - May
  • For outdoor crops: Transplant to a sunny spot outside, 45cm apart or in large pots or growing bags
  • Pinch out side shoots regularly & pinch out growing tip after 4-6 trusses have set
  • Provide support & tie up where necessary
  • Keep moist & weed free
  • Apply a liquid feed every 2-3 weeks when first trusses have set
