As one of the tallest Crocosmia varieties, Lucifer can grow to a height of over 1 metre and produces tubular orange flowers on stunning red flower stems which appear during the summer months. Their height makes them perfect for placing at the back of beds, adding a splash of late colour to the garden when other plants have started to die down.
This variety of Crocosmia is pollen-rich and is known to attract bees to its bright flowers.

Advice & Tips:
Plant in well-drained but moist soil in a sunny, open location. Bulbs should be planted approximately 5cm into the soil, leaving 10cm between bulbs.
Once established, Crocosmia will need very little attention, but will require mulch during winter months for protection.
Crocosmia should be lifted, divided and replanted every 3-5 years due to the corms readily multiplying - the flowers will not bloom as well if congested.
