Golden Emblem is a popular Dahlia variety and is a great way to add colour and height to your garden - growing to an eventual height of over one metre, it produces large blooms on strong green stems all summer long.
Each flower head has the potential to grow to up to 20cm in diameter, with layers of lemon yellow petals and a golden centre to brighten your outdoor space. This Dahlia variety works well at the back of beds and borders amongst other similarly-coloured flowers, and makes a stunning addition to cut arrangements to brighten your home as well as your outdoor space.
Key Information:
Flowering height of 100cm
Lemon yellow blooms with a golden centre
Popular with bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects
Advice & Tips:
Plant in late spring once the risk of frost has passed, in a location with plenty of sun.
Tubers should be planted in the ground approximately 15cm deep, with approximately 60cm between dahlia tubers.
Dahlias like to be well-watered, but not waterlogged, so their soil needs good drainage.
After the flowers have died down, lift the tubers and store in a frost-free location in dry compost until the Spring, or leave in the ground and cover with mulch in the winter months if in a mild location.
