De Monica is a very early cropping white seeded broad bean variety, probably the earliest to crop from a spring sowing. Sow these seeds for high yields broad 'hang down' pods of 5-6 large, succulent beans with a great flavour, ideal for deep freezing.
Sow indoors between February-April or sow outdoors between February-May & they will typically be ready to Harvest between June-August.

Advice & Tips:
Sow outdoors where they are to crop
Sow 23cm apart in a zig-zag pattern, allowing 60cm between rows
Seedlings usually appear within 10-18 days
Water well until plants are established
Successional sowings will ensure a long harvest
Or sow indoors in individual pots of compost
Keep in the warmth - a temperature of 15-20°C is ideal & keep moist
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions before planting out - avoid frosts
Pinch out growing tips when first pods are approx. 10cm long; this will help deter blackfly
