November Garden Tips

Monthly Advice For November

Bonfires.

November is famous for bonfires, and is a way to get rid of all the seasons rubbish. But if do have a bonfire please take care and make sure no hedgehogs or other animals are buried inside trying to hibernate for the winter!

Winter Heathers

If the garden is starting to look bare, why not add a splash of colour by planting a container or two with winter flowering heathers.

Roses.

November is a good month to plant roses. If when you get them you find that the roots are dry, stick them in a bucket of water to soak for about an hour before planting.

Fence Care

Its probably now your last chance to protect your garden fences from rotting over the winter. We have a great selection of fence care products in a range of colours.

Crack Pots!

Make sure any potted plants are lifted off the ground, using pot feet to prevent your plants being water logged and your pots cracking in the frosts.

Feed The Birds!

Check your bird baths are not frozen over and keep leaving food out for them, as it will now start to get harder for them to find food!

Leave Free Lawns

Make sure that you keep your lawns free of leaves, that have fallen and add them to your compost heap!
